Women's Health Unit - Classes and Support Groups
Childbirth classes are offered the second, third and fourth Monday of alternating months from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Breckinridge Classroom, located on the second floor at the Gilcher Building adjacent to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (behind the City Parking Garage). Free parking is available after 5:00 p.m. Call the newborn nursery at (859) 239-6416 for date of next class and to register. These classes are offered at no charge.
Siblings classes are
provided on the
second Thursday of alternating months from 6:30 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m. in the
conference room on our Women's Health Unit. This
class helps to prepare brothers and sisters for the
new member of their family. Call the newborn nursery at (859)239-6416 for date of next class.
These classes are offered at no charge.
Breastfeeding classes are offered on the fourth
Tuesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the
Jane Todd Crawford Room at Ephraim McDowell Regional
Medical Center. These classes are offered at no charge. Call the newborn nursery at (859)239-6416 to register.
Moms on the Move is
an exercise class for expectant mothers. It meets each
Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at
McDowell Wellness Center. These classes are offered
at no charge.
Breastfeeding Support Group meets on the
first Thursday of each month from 6 p.m.
to 7:30
p.m. in the Jane Todd Crawford Room at Ephraim McDowell
Regional Medical Center. No registration is necessary.
Ladies Cancer Support Group meets on the third Tuesday
of each month (except for June, July or August) from
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the third floor ballroom at Farmers
National Bank.
