Emergency Care

When a family member becomes ill suddenly or gets injured, you want prompt attention and quality medical care. You can trust our Emergency Department to meet your medical needs during any emergency. Although we make every effort to treat your illness or injury promptly after you arrive, we must give first priority to the most seriously ill or injured.

Our qualified Emergency Department personnel are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The physicians in our Emergency Department are experienced and highly skilled in providing emergency care and all of our nurses have been trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support/Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course. The majority of our nurses are trained in the Trauma Nurse Care curriculum.

The Emergency Department is always staffed with one physician, and two physicians are available from noon to midnight every day.

After you are admitted to our Emergency Department, the same nurse will be responsible for your care until you are discharged.

To improve efficiency, the Emergency Department has developed three specialized treatment areas as follows:

  • Fast Track for patients with minor illnesses or injuries.

  • Intermediate area features specialized rooms when you or your loved one experiences an illness or injury that is urgent but not life-threatening.

  • Critical Care area for patients experiencing a cardiac or traumatic emergency is equipped with state-of-the-art continuous computerized cardiac monitoring directly across from the main nursing area.
