When a patient comes to the Emergency Department at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, we are committed to providing prompt medical care to them. We have a new “patient throughput” initiative that we are calling 5-5-60-90. This means our standard is that the time from patient arrival to triage is 5 minutes; the time from triage to evaluation by a physician is 5 minutes; the time from arrival to discharge is within 60 minutes; and the time from arrival to patient room admission is within 90 minutes. |
